Applications are now open for a Social Media Manager role in our fast paced and dynamic communications team, based in South West London.
From quiet beginnings, parkrun has grown into a worldwide social movement with community at its beating heart.
Committed to breaking down barriers to participation in regular physical activity and bringing communities together, we deliver free, weekly, timed events every weekend that people of all ages and backgrounds can take part in – as walkers, joggers, runners, volunteers and spectators.
Our mission is to create a healthier and happier planet. Now in our 18th year, parkrun is delivered in over 2,200 locations across 23 countries.
The role
This is an exciting new role for a passionate and experienced Social Media Manager to shape, develop and grow parkrun’s social media channels, supporting every country in which we operate.
We’re looking for someone to take parkrun’s social media to exciting new levels, optimising what we already have but also exploring more platforms and opportunities for us to reach new audiences.
You’ll have demonstrable experience in social media tools, platforms and schedulers, to execute innovative ways to share our content and increase community engagement.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop parkrun’s social media strategy, and monitor and evaluate performance across all socials.
We offer great flexible working conditions and a range of employee benefits including a contributory pension plan, 28 days paid leave and a commitment to your professional development.
We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups, to enable us to bring diversity of perspective to our thinking and conversations. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and it’s important to us that we strive to have a workforce that is diverse in the widest sense.
If you share our values and ambitions, and have the skills and experience, then we would be delighted to receive your application.
