It’s been a relatively quiet week as, in the majority of locations in which we operate, various restrictions continue to be in force in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
That said, it was wonderful to see more than 60,000 participants across 441 events last weekend, including more than 3,000 first timers.
News from around the world does continue to give us hope. There are positive signs of progress as many countries begin the rollout of vaccines, and for many of us, it does look as though we might have started to turn a corner with regard to infections and hospital admissions.
Although we don’t expect to reopen any more countries over the next month or so, we are still here, still making sure we’re ready to go as soon as we are able to, and still supporting the entire parkrun community whether you have a local event to go to or not.
It might sound like a cliché but every day brings us a step closer to getting back together.
Thanks for your continued support.
