Week in Pictures: December 24

12-24 Winthrop

Thanks to a once in a generation bomb cyclone that covered the US and Canada, Only 16 out of 56 parkruns in the US were able to go ahead on Saturday. Lucky for us our volunteer photographers were out in the field capturing the action. Let’s see what you were up to

America’s oldest parkrun, Livonia parkrun in Michigan, defied the brutal wind chills and held their 476th free 5K. They’ve thawed out in time to be one of our events holding an extra New Years Day parkrun this Sunday. Check here to see if your local parkrun is happening on 1/1.

Even our pals at Clermont Waterfront park in Orlando dealt with the cold snap. Temps in Central Florida hovered around the freezing mark at 7:30 on parkrunday. Way to get out there!
