Week in Pictures: February 11

fort ward

It’s Valentine’s week at parkrun USA social HQ and we’re feeling the love. Nearly 2,300 of you got out to a parkrun on Saturday which blew by our previous February record. Momentum is building across the US and we don’t have enough heart eye emojis for all the great pics we got to sift through this week! Let’s take a look at a few

2-11 Creekside

The team at Creekside parkrun in Archdale, NC got the memo about dressing up for Valentine’s Day. They’re building quite the community down there and we love to see it.

2-11 LSCG

Also building momentum in the Tar Heel State is Little Sugar Creek Greenway parkrun in Charlotte. They had 7 first-timers on Saturday including 5 who had their barcodes scanned for the very first time. Welcome!

2-11 Deep Run

We love a good flying feet pic and the photographer at Deep Run parkrun in Richmond, VA captured this one perfectly!

2-11 Winthrop Trailhead

parkrun is 5K your way. You can try for a new personal best or walk and talk with your favorite warm beverage. When you have views like they do at Winthrop Trailhead parkrun, you’ll want to slow down and take it all in.

2-11 Lillie

The parkwalk shirt is 2023′s must-have Valentine’s garment. Lots of red and pink on the trail at Lillie parkrun in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

2-11 Perrigo

Have you ever taken your special pup to parkrun? Be like this parkrunner at Perrigo parkrun and bring your best friend along. They’ll love it or your money back.

2-11 Canyon Rim Trail

Nothing better than a walk in the park with your Valentine (or a random stranger). You can do this every week for free at Canyon Rim Trail parkrun along the Snake River in Twin Falls, Idaho.

2-11 Rec Plex North

It was a soggy one at Rec Plex North parkrun in Pensacola on Saturday. Thanks as always to our volunteers who ensure everyone is safe and no one is left behind, no matter the weather.

2-11 Roosevelt Island

Be sure to arrive early enough to hear the run briefing. You never know who might be visiting from another parkrun or if there are unexpected hazards on the course. Kudos to this volunteer at Roosevelt Island parkrun in DC for taking charge this week.

2-11 Merrymeeting

Merrymeeting parkrun in icy Brunswick, ME welcomed 20 runners and walkers on Saturday. Looking good!

2-11 Hamlet Park

More flying feet at Hamlet Park parkrun in the Twin Cities. Glorious Minnesota spring and Twins opening day will be here before we know it!

2-11 Fletchers Cove

Yet another outbreak of morale at Fletchers Cove parkrun in DC. Thanks to all of our 570 volunteers from around the country. parkrun doesn’t work without volunteers. Consider stepping up and helping out this week!

2-11 Evergreen

19 runners and walkers came out on a chilly but sunny Saturday for the 21st running of Evergreen parkrun in New Jersey.

2-11 College Park

There was a costly fumble in Sunday’s Super Bowl but not at College Park parkrun. Excellent token transfer skills!

2-11 Peace Valley

The future is bright for the birds of Philadelphia and for the team at Peace Valley parkrun in nearby Doylestown, PA.

That’s all we’ve got. See you next week!
