Week in Pictures: March 11

3-11 WIP

We celebrated International Women’s Day at parkruns across the world this week. At 50 US events from Raleigh to Richmond, we were fortunate to have many volunteer teams composed of all women. And a lot of our parkrunners turned up in purple to celebrate the occasion. Over 2,100 of you were out running or walking in all types of weather and we’ve got the pics to prove it. Let’s see what you got into

3-11 Byxbee WIP

A sunny respite from the atmospheric river in Northern California on Saturday gave this tail walker at Byxbee parkrun all the light they needed to solve a Rubiks Cube. Way to level up!

3-11 Charleston

We love seeing people of all ages at parkrun, and Charleston parkrun in WV is the place to be for family fun on a Saturday morning. Did you know kids as young as 4 can register for their own barcode? Bring a young person in your life out to parkrun this week.

3-11 Riverside Park

Rexburg, Idaho’s favorite free weekly timed 5K, Riverside Park parkrun was back after a cancellation last week.

3-11 Third Creek Greenway

Looked like a beautiful sunny morning in the Volunteer State at Third Creek Greenway parkrun. 12 runners and walkers took part including a first-timer in the 80-84 age category. Way to get out there!

3-11 Merrymeeting

Our pals at Merrymeeting parkrun in Brunswick, ME have had to deal with some weather induced cancellations lately. They were back this week with 16 runners & walkers and plenty of smiles.

3-11 Lillie

Lots of purple out on the trail at Lillie parkrun in Ann Arbor. Do you have a 25 milestone shirt yet?

3-11 Fort Ward

An outbreak of morale at Fort Ward parkrun in Bainbridge Island. They held their 10th free timed 5K this week. Can’t wait to see this place in all seasons!

Text your friends and meet them at parkrun this week. This pair at Deep Run parkrun in Richmond had the right idea.

We love Run Director selfies at parkrun social HQ. It was nice to hear from our friends at Delaware and Raritan Canal parkrun in New Jersey this week. Looking good!

3-11 Osborn Metropark

Run Director Morgan earned her 25th volunteer milestone on a blustery morning in Sandusky. Great job to the entire team at Osborn Metropark parkrun

3-11 Hamlet Park

Nothing better than hot gossip to go along with your favorite warm beverage at parkrun. Thanks to the volunteer team at Hamlet Park parkrun for braving the elements this week!

3-11 Depot Park

Catching up with your friends at parkrun is about to be the highlight of your week. 83 runners & walkers enjoyed the trail at Depot Park parkrun in Gainesville on Saturday.

3-11 Fletchers Cove

You and your dog will love parkrun or your money back. Looks like a beautiful day for a run for this special pup at Fletchers Cove parkrun.

3-11 Anacostia

Staying in our nation’s capital, let’s check in on the crew at Anacostia parkrun in the SE. Happy parkrunday!

3-11 South Boulder Creek

A bright sunny morning at South Boulder Creek parkrun in Colorado. Hard not to be all smiles when you can spend your Saturday morning in such a beautiful setting.
