Week in Pictures: April 29

4-29 Creekside WIP

While the calendar was ready to flip to May, in many parts of the country it was still necessary to bundle up on parkrunday. Nonetheless, across the US we set a record for most events held (56), and just over 2,500 of you took part. Let’s take a look at what you got into:

Clermont Waterfront parkrun in central Florida celebrated their 10th anniversary on Saturday. They were the 2nd event to start in the US. Can you name the 1st? Their 11th anniversary is coming up soon.

4-29 Cornerstone Lakes

West Chicago’s favorite free weekly timed 5K, Cornerstone Lakes, held their 3rd event and had a record attendance. We don’t think that’ll be the last time.

4-29 Coler WIP

Thumbs up if you love your post-parkrun coffee meetups. Looks like a fine morning to enjoy your favorite warm beverage at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve parkrun.

4-29 Kensington

Kensington parkrun is much cheaper than the water park. Treat your family to some exercise and a free shower the next time it rains at your local parkrun.

4-29 Rec Plex North WIP

77 runners and walkers started their Saturday off right at Pensacola’s Rec Plex North parkrun.

4-29 Exploration Place WIP

Exploration Place parkrun in Wichita got to celebrate their first homegrown 25 milestone on Saturday. Have you reached a milestone recently? Check your profile for the link to order your shirt.

4-29 WCAp WIP

Warren County Armco parkrun outside of Cincinnati had 9 runners and walkers get their barcode scanned for the very first time. Welcome!

4-29 Hamlet Park WIP

Even on a cold gloomy morning in the Twin Cities, it was all smiles at Hamlet Park parkrun’s 1st anniversary. Congrats on one year of parkrunning!

4-29 B&A Trail

Tail walking is about the most fun you can have volunteering anywhere. Kudos to this tail walker at Baltimore & Annapolis Trail parkrun for stepping up this week.

4-29 Susq WIP

If you haven’t noticed a pattern by now, it was wet and dreary on Sat in much of the country. We love seeing the view at Susquehanna Riverwalk parkrun no matter the conditions.

4-29 Rock Creek Trail WIP

Yet again our pose of the week comes from Rock Creek Trail parkrun in Portland. Oregon’s favorite free weekly 5K sure has some photogenic participants.

4-29 Spindle Tree

18 people had their barcode scanned for the very first time at Spindle Tree parkrun outside of Houston. They set an attendance record with 65 runners and walkers in total. Way to go!

4-29 Peace Valley WIP

One more soggy start line at Peace Valley parkrun. Way to get out there! See you next week!
