College Park parkrun had a visit from Yorktown Elementary School. As the local tradition goes, the young first-timers got to bang on the gong!

Evergreen parkrun

New Jersey’s Evergreen parkrun welcomed visitors from the neighboring Delaware and Raritan Canal parkrun as well as parkrun tourists the UK and Poland. Maybe next time the event will attract moms and dads from the local soccer practice!

14 people ran, walked, or even skipped the course up in Wisconsin at the event #113, made possible by the team of easygoing and friendly Howard Temin Lakeshore Path parkrun volunteers!

Rock Creek Trail parkrun

There were 32 first-timers at Rock Creek Trail parkrun rocking the course on Saturday. Two of those were visitors from the mother of all parkruns – Bushy parkrun, UK – and as irony has it, they only met each other for the first time in Portland, OR!

Another visitor from the UK was spotted multitasking at Joe Creason parkrun, getting credits both for finishing first and for volunteering on a beautiful morning! There were also milestones reached by some of the locals!

Speaking of parkrun tourism, you wouldn’t want to miss the incredible story of Keiko Sunaba, parkrun co-ED for the Main Street Parkrun in Australia and female course record holder at Warren County Armco parkrun, and her local friend Tracy Meats. Check it out on the event’s Facebook page!

Little Sugar Creek parkrun

North Carolina’s Little Sugar Creek parkrun is still less than one year old, but they’re striving to keep the attendance above 30. For the event #46 they got some help from Lillie parkrun!

Livonia parkrun

Another squad of Lillie parkrun regulars landed in Livonia, MI, where all the big buzz was. Livonia’s 500th event conveniently coincided with the 11th anniversary of parkrun USA. A great turnout, lots of sunshine and a lively party afterwards – all the right components of parkrun celebration!

Deep Run parkrun

Treats were abound in Richmond, VA, where they too celebrated an anniversary - 6  years of  Deep Run parkrun. A colorful balloon arch topped the funnel at the finish line and all the parkrunners got their picture taken under it!
