Volunteer Hero: Emile Evert

Emile

Regular parkrunners at George will know the smiling face at the finish when you receive your token.

Emile Evert has become known as our Finish Token Officer because he has made the volunteer role his own.

On no less than 42 Saturdays (amongst a few other volunteer roles) he has been the one to greet parkrunners as they cross the finish line, always with a word of congratulations and a smile.

Even though Emile hasn’t done the parkrun itself, he has become an integral part of our successful event.
