We celebrated the planting of 250 trees in avenues along our route. What an amazing run to run through these trees at Rose parkrun, Lenasia.
On 21st June, 2014, inspired by Bruce Fordyce writing about parkrun, John and I decided to try parkrun out and it soon became a happy, weekly, walking commitment. I am a retired social worker and John is a retired geologist and former University of Cape Town lecturer.
A few years later, having walked 1,000 km, I decided to walk on the Camino during May and June 2019, between Pamplona and Santiago de Compostela. On Saturday, 8th February, 2020, I achieved my 250th parkrun goal at Rondebosch Common parkrun. This coincided with our 50th Wedding Anniversary!
