Our partners, Vitality have created an exciting world running challenge. Starting on 5th March, runners from around the world can track their runs with a smartphone or fitness device.
The minimum run and qualifying standard is 3 kilometres run in under 30 minutes. Teams from around the world are competing and we would love South Africa to win by logging the most number of kilometres in the world.
While I am not able to run the 200 kilometres a week that I used to run I will be trying my best to log as many kilometres as possible so that at the end of the competition South Africa stands on the top of the podium.
But the first step is to qualify in the week starting 5th March so I am calling on as many SA parkrunners as possible to run parkruns on Saturday and to record their runs during the week. We have created a team for parkrunners in South Africa join the team here.
Let’s try our best to lead the world in March!
