I started going to parkrun in July 2017, with my first run at Welkom parkrun. I started to feel fitter and eventually did a 21km! I’ve also now completed 80 parkruns in South Africa and Australia.
At age 54, I am still going strong. Last year, I even did a 45km lockdown run!
We have made it – 250 (not)parkruns in 250 days! We managed to walk more than 2,000km during lockdown. We are now looking for shoe sponsors as we’re nearly through our third sets of shoes!
Thank you to Wilna Van Emmenis and Ita Janse Van Rensburg who really motivate us and keep us going!
