There were so many friends around me convince me to start parkrunning and told me all the motivational, good stories and community projects involved.
I started with my own parkrun journey in 2018, and have achieved my first milestone of 50 runs. I reached 68 runs before Covid derailed us!
Bridget and Allen Klue involved me in volunteering, where I have taken part as tail walker, timekeeper, barcode scanner and marshal and that is where I became a parkrun friend to a lot of parkrunners over our country.
parkrun is and will always stay am awesome experience in the community whereby myself and all my pensioner friends involved cleaning out Mothlosane bird park, where Klerksdorp parkrun takes place, on Sundays and in the week. The bonding is awesome.
On Saturdays, my family and friends big or small, set out for parkrun day for all.
Keep safe and keep parkrunning.

During the winter months and into spring many of the nearly 250 fynbos species are flowering. This a quite a sight.
I feel myself very privileged to be able to do my (not)parkrun along this route.
